The European Union was when the European leaders wanted peace and union in their countries. The twenty five nations wanted to change the society of Europe. I think it is a good thing because it made a powerful nation in the world. Also the European Union has a strong economic and political nation. It was also a good thing because people that lived in the European Union could work in the nation. These are the successfulness of the European Union

Film Lesson-"The right Stuff"

In the movie The Right Stuff, the U.S and Russia competed. They were having a competition to be the first ones to explore the final frontier. Russia was in a sense winning this competition. They were the first ones to get a satelite into space .The U.S always seemed to be one step behind. Only 2 weeks after the U.S had sent the first monkey into space, Russia managed to get the first man into orbit. The scene that will remian in my head is when the men were tring to breathe as hard as possible to see who has the strongest lung capacity. This will remain in my head because they all wanted to be in space.

Cuban Missile Crisis

The Cuban Missile Crisis was an war that stated in1962 in which the Russian government placed missiles on Cuba to combat the US in case of an attack on Russia. The Russians were far behind in the arms race. The US has missiles that could each Russia, but Russia could only land an attack on Europe. In the chance of an attack in Russia, they would have no way of defending themselves so they build missiles in Cuba. It's refered to as the hottest moment in the Cold War because it was the closest the world came to a full on nuclear war. John F. Kennedy dealt with the crisis by assembling a group of his 12 most important advisors, named EX-COMM. They debated for several days and managed to solve the crisis and avoid war with the communist regime by agreeing to not invade Cuba.

NATO and The Warsaw Pact

NATO is an organization that includes countries in Europe and North America.The U.S. was the first nation to create the atomic bomb and to use the atomic bomb. The U.S. seemed to control the entire fate of the inferior world after the close of World War II. They held the most controversial, and devastating weapon ever known to man at their fingertips. It only took an order, and any city could be wiped from its place. It was originally formed to protect themselves from the communist Russians. Also, since Europe was left in shambles after WWII, they were helped economically through the Marshall Plan. In response to this treaty, Russia made a pact with the eastern european nations. In its place, was a cold tension between possessors of the deadly weapon. Neither side dared to make a move, because if one were to act with their bombs, the other would do likewise.

Night And Fog

My reactions to the night and fog was that it was good.well some of the seens were not really my type.there were scenes were dead body are with out heads.the heads were chopped off.and all the bodys were burned up.They showed everything like the wat they used to do with the skin's and hair of the womans .They also showed the gas chamber where they killed most of the jews. The nazis killed so many people and they didnt even care.
