So Apartheid means Separation of color Nelson Mandela is a Hero because he helped black people stop being over powered by the people that were taking over them. Nelson Mandela became the first black president but before that he was prison for 28 years 18 of those 28 years were in robben island Mnadela got out of prison february/11/1990.He studied for becoming a lawyer and he was one that made all his people votes count when they were going to vote. This is why authors admired by the authors of and people who rote articles about him.
